I've always thought that the Big City Adventure series of games is brilliant. It takes all of the fun aspects of tourism--finding cool things, seeing the sights, learning about a city--without any of the tedious stuff. No waiting in airports, clearing customs, or sitting on a 20-hour transatlantic flight (Sydney, Australia is far, people!).Instead, you can sit inside on your computer and feel like you're visiting a real city. You almost are, really. The facts you're learning are real, and the sights and sounds are definitely the real deal. Who cares that you're trying to find randomly placed hidden objects. That's part of the fun!
